Fall Colds
filed on Sunday, October 01, 2006 at 11:17:58 PM CST

Late Friday night (or Saturday night depending on whether I'm conscious or not when I'm talking about it), the great Autumn Cold that's been travelling around my office and the COD campus finally crept upon me, set upon me, and said, "Thou shalt be confined to thine bed."  I found I couldn't argue.

I was talking to my cousin, Pam, via Messenger this eve, while I'm starting to feel better (thanks largely to Alka-Selzter Cold & Cough, yummy orange flavor), I had some rather unique moments such as typing, "Ot," starting to say something, but realizing my fingers were on the wrong keys.  That followed with me completely forgetting what it was that I was planning on saying.

And the best... typing the word, "breans."  That would be "brains" for those of you can't speak SickJimeese.  Consequently, I wrote my Japanese instructor a quick email asking if I could have an extension until Wednesday.  I figured if I'm writing like that, gods only know what I might turn in for a paper.

So I'm sitting here, chillin', waiting for my bed clothes to be done in the washer, and then the drier, so that I can at least go to bed with clean sheets and hopefully fight off what's left of this nasty thing.  I fear 5:00 am is going to come way too soon tomorrow.
