"How do you pick up the threads of an old life? How do you go on, when in your heart you begin to understand, there is no going back? There are some things that time cannot mend. Some hurts that go too deep; that have taken hold."

— Frodo Baggins,
Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
(theatrical)

This is the End, the End of the Old Year, The End...
filed on Sunday, December 31, 2006 at 11:48:33 PM CST

Just a few minutes away... the end of 2006, the start of 2007.  Thought I'd go through the high-points and low-points to wrap up 2006.

High Points
Started my first year of college, and got a 4.0 in the first semester, after surviving 19 credit hours of class with a full-time job.
Got back into Ultima Online.
Have had a great time with World of Warcraft.
Spent the early part of the summer with my brother.

Low Points
My grandfather dying.
Having to put my cat to sleep.
Not spending holidays with family or friends because of responsibilities to my grandmother.
Not having enough "me" time.

Overall, 2006 wasn't too bad, wasn't all that great, but I think the last part of it brought me into a new stage of my life, and hopefully is the beginning of great things to come!!!

So, with that said, goodbye, 2006... hello, 2007!!!
